Lowly Apple GarageBand might do that but I am not sure at this point. Whatever I end up with it hopefully will also manage working with Audinate Dante Visual Storyboard (vía Ethernet IP 64 maximum channel) on a laptop to record 24bit audio one channel per mic. Logic Pro X? ProTools? iZotope RX 7 (standard or advanced)? I thought something like Reaper would work inexpensively, but if memory serves, it doesn’t retain all metadata and Timecode. at least until Resolve includes full 32bit capability. The difficulty isn’t altering the audio format and levels but finding software I can afford to ensure the output includes all metadata and will be handled by Resolve identically to normal 24bit audio.
It’s very important to me to find a solution to do this task quickly. For the time being, since we still need to produce deliverables from audio clips that will inevitably be captured in 32bit by those who own the new MixPre and F6, it’s increasingly looking like audio may need to run through a preprocessor in post that will convert ‘unmanaged’ 32bit 48KHz audio to ‘managed’ 24bit audio without losing metadata and Timecode when present.
